Self-care is only for people who’ve got their sh!t together

I used to think that Self-care is only for people who’ve got all their sh*t together!

And you’d be forgiven for thinking the same….

But, I couldn’t have been more wrong!

Do you know what I realised?

I realised that you can’t wait for everything else to be ‘just right’, feel ‘under control’ and ‘less busy’ before you start looking after yourself.

It’ll never happen…..

In fact, the opposite is true.

When you start investing in your self-care and actually make time to look after yourself, your world changes and things feel better.

Self-care is what’s required to help you feel that things are ‘just right’, more ‘under control’ and ‘less busy’.

Not because things got easier, but because you became better equipped at handling it.

Prioritising your self-care means looking after you so that you are able to look after everything else.

Neglecting your self-care means neglecting yourself and those people and things around you that matter.

Neglecting your self-care means not being able to show up the way you truly want to for those that you love.

Prioritising your self-care and investing in it is what enables you to get all your sh1t together!

And that sh1t is important – the most important thing, in fact!
